There, There, Ann-Marie

Okay, I’m going to say it.

I think it EVERY day when I read Facebook. Since I can’t say it there without sounding like a pompous blowhard, I’m going to say it here, on my little ‘ol blog.

Here we go:

There. Their. They’re.

All DIFFERENT words with DIFFERENT meanings. They are NOT interchangeable.

We’re. Were.

Also, different words. Also, different meanings. Also, not interchangeable.

I hate it that most of my time spent on Facebook finds me hunting for a red pen.

Whew! I feel so much better now. Thanks!

Yes, and I would add: than, then.

Of course! And sit, set.

Steven has the "they're," "their," and "there" exercise waiting for him for Monday from his dictation. I also have to/too on the board. To no avail! He has to define those two words as well on Monday.

You need to belong to the facebook group that I do "If You Can't Differentiate Between 'Your' and 'You're,' You Deserve to Die."

Oh, Ann-Marie! You'd never make it down here in the South. Everyone has their own version of English grammar. It bugs me and Brian, too. Brian and you would hit it off. He is always correcting my grammar. Ha!

Aaron,
That's just the laugh I needed today! :)

That's funny Aaron.

It annoys me too, and I hope I am not at fault. Many times I have been known to post something without proofreading it first.
I will try to make all my e mails to you very readable and understandable. :-)
